MUD 140 was notified by BEST TRASH that trash collection will not occur on Monday 7/8/2024 due to a weather-related closure of the landfill.
Trash collection will resume on Thursday 7/11/2024. The collection time may be delayed on Thursday. BEST TRASH’S priority will be household garbage.
Please do not place trash bins outside tonight.
New water meter installation should begin this week. Any issues with installation should be reported to MOC.
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve services to our customers, Fort Bend MUD 140 will be installing new smart water meters starting in June with a completion time estimated at 4 months. Services will be provided by Accurate meter and supply, whose employees will be wearing labeled uniforms and driving marked vehicles.
After the water meters are replaced, customers will then be able to view their water usage data including easy to understand graphs and the ability to establish alerts – including identifying potential leaks. Fort Bend MUD 140’s EyeOnWater suite of available tools will include a secure online website to review and analyze water usage patterns. A consumer Smartphone app will also be made available. With these tools, you will now be able to view your water usage activity and gain a greater understanding and control of the amount of water you use. Information about how to access your account will be made available once the water meter installations have been completed.
