Due to projected heavy rains in the area, the District is reminding residents that they can monitor the level of the Brazos River at Richmond at https://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?gage=rmot2&wfo=hgx. The River level is currently projected to peak at 42 feet on Wednesday morning (Dec. 12). The District estimates that its risk of flooding from the Brazos River begins at a river elevation of 50.6 feet. Emergency alerts, if any, and other information regarding potential flooding will be issued by the Fort Bend Office of Emergency Management, and may be monitored at http://fbcoem.org.
Please be aware that District Engineers will be in the area assuring northern boundary drains are free of debris.
The District’s Board of Directors has created this site to more easily share information with its residents and Brazos River’s Edge Community. Please take a few moments and browse through this website to familiarize yourself with the various links and information available. You may also sign up to receive text message and email alerts!
