Notice of Additional Garbage Collection for Winter Storm Debris

Fort Bend MUD 140 is providing additional garbage collection services for its residents in light of the extreme amount of landscape and other debris resulting from the recent winter storm.

On Monday, March 22, 2021, Best Trash will be dedicating a truck for the winter storm debris removal. Items that will be collected include landscape demolition debris, leaves, and any debris that is a result of pipes flooding the home. Leaves will still need to be bagged and placed curbside.

Please ensure the items are out for collection prior to 7am.

The truck that is coming through uses a grapple (the debris being collected with this truck is not being collected by hand) capable of lifting large amounts of heavy debris, so placing the debris curbside is the best option.  Please note that the machine is designed for bulk pickup, so there may be a small amount of residue left behind, which residents will need to place in bags for collection on the next service day.

If there are any questions about this service, please reach out to Best Trash at 281-313-2378 or customerservice@besttrashtexas.com.  Please be sure to let us know you are in FB140-Rivers Edge.

The grapple truck will again come through the District on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

Additional collection days are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, April 6, and Tuesday, April 13, depending on need (as determined by Best Trash based on its observations in the field).

Regular garbage and recycling collection will continue as normal.

Please Do Not Enter Construction Site

For your safety, please do not enter the project site of the ongoing construction of the erosion mitigation measures along the Brazos River bank. We understand that residents have been walking down and recreating on the stone (“rip rap”) that has been put in the river. This rip rap is designed to fall into the river to protect the toe of the bank from erosion, and is not designed or intended to be a permanent foundation. It may be unstable.
